Conférenciers invitésPatrick Flammang - Directeur de recherche du FNRS à l'Université de Mons (Belgique) Titre : à venir Biographie : Patrick Flammang a obtenu son doctorat en zoologie en 1994 à l'Université de Mons-Hainaut. Sa thèse, supervisée par le Professeur Michel Jangoux, portait sur la morphologie fonctionnelle et l'ultrastructure comparée des appendices adhésifs des échinodermes, les podia. Il a ensuite effectué un séjour postdoctoral à l'Université du Delaware (USA), durant lequel il s’est formé en chimie des protéines adhésives dans le laboratoire du Professeur Herbert Waite. Ses travaux actuels visent à étudier les mécanismes d'adhérence chez les invertébrés marins en intégrant les résultats d'approches biomécanique (mesure des forces d'adhérence), morphologique (description ultrastructurale des organes adhésifs) et moléculaire (caractérisation des sécrétions adhésives). L’objectif final de cette recherche est d'élucider les principes structurels, mécaniques et chimiques fondamentaux gouvernant les processus adhésifs afin de comprendre leur rôle dans la biologie et l'écologie des organismes étudiés, mais aussi de développer des adhésifs biomimétiques pour diverses applications.
Maren Ortiz-Zarragoitia -Associate professor at University of the Basque country (Spain) Titre : When the solution becomes a threat: Ecotoxicity of antifouling components in non-target marine species. Biographie : Maren Ortiz-Zarragoitia is an associate Professor of Cell Biology at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and Vice‑Dean for International Relations and Basque Language at the Faculty of Science and Technology. Coordinator of the Cell Biology in Environmental Toxicology + One Health (CBET+) research group. His research focuses on endocrine disruption in fish and invertebrates, integrating transcriptomics, hormone physiology and histological biomarkers. He has led several national and international projects on the ecotoxicology of marine pollutants, including studies on contaminants with hormonal activity and antifouling-related research. Author of more than 80 research and book chapter publications, serves as International Coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Environmental Contamination and Toxicology + One Health.
